Door County is a peninsula between Green Bay and Lake Michigan in the state of Wisconsin. Don't miss the amazing vistas in Peninsula State Park, Cave Point County Park, or the limestone cliffs in Potawatomi State Park. Hop on the ferry to Washington Island and gaze into the crystal clear waters as you cross the infamous waterway known as Death's Door to see if you can spot any of the hundreds of shipwrecks down below. On Washington Island, you'll find Schoolhouse Beach--one of only five beaches of its kind in the world. Grab a bite or some soup at the Jackson Harbor Soup & Sandwich and then take the passenger ferry to Rock Island State Park where you can explore the Thordarson Boat House & Museum, visit the Potawatomi Lighthouse, or hike the scenic trails.
